Thank you for your interest in the IDMLlib. We offer two sets of licenses: A development kit which you can use for your personal business and to develop applications using the IDMLlib. And a single or server license if you want to sell a product or use the IDMLlib in a project or productive environment.

Note that only members of our development program receive support and access to our early mile stone releases.

So what does this mean for you ?
If you are a developer in a print shop and want to test and develop a nice workflow you need a development license like the single development kit.
Once you go into production you need to purchase a server or a desktop license.

We offer time limited evaluation licenses and we are happy to answer all your questions during your tests. After that we invite you participate in our development program for a yearly fee. [more]

The development licenses allow you to use one or more installations of the IDMLlib to develop your product and check out all the benefits. After one year you need to renew the membership or seize to get updates and information through our portal.
But even if you decide not to renew the development program fee you still have a working IDMLlib. Just no access to the latest updates.

A Desktop License allows you to run the IDMLlib on a desktop machine in a productive environment. Export texts into a special XML format to send them to a translation service and re-import them again is for instance one example. [more]

Same like the desktop license. This is only for a server. Approval Workflows or small W2P systems can be run on top of the IDMLlib for instance. [more]
